The Easy Street Tunic: Styled 3 Ways

Hi guys, Sarah here! One of my favourite parts about running Dear Sorella, is sharing my styling tips with you guys… but since so many of you prefer to shop online, I’ve been missing out on that. I’ve been wanting to get on here for a while now to share some styling tips for some of my favourite pieces… and I finally found the time!! I am so happy to show you guys a few ways that I’ve styled the Free People Easy Street Tunic.

If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ve probably seen this sweater. If not, the Easy Street Tunic is an oversized, crew-neck style sweater. It’s fabricated with a 59% cotton, 36% acrylic, 4% nylon and 1% elastane blend, which makes the sweater breathable and cozy, and also means it holds its shape well. This was actually one of the first pieces we brought into the store when we launched and we became instantly obsessed!! Although it is a bit of an investment, you will hold on to this piece for years to come. Free People does an amazing job with these sweaters: both the Easy Street Tunic & the Ottoman Slouchy Tunic are everyday, wearable styles that you will never need to replace!!! Seriously. They don’t pill and they hold their shape unbelievably well compared to most sweaters out there. PLUS, for those of you with sensitive skin, they contain ZERO wool. I do want to mention that this sweater is VERY oversized, so you will most likely want to size down... the largest size we usually carry in this style is a medium... FYI: The medium fits more like a large/x-large!!lol.

This sweater can be styled countless ways, but I decided to show you the 3 ways I'm wearing it now!! Check them out below and let me know which one you like best.

1. With Denim Shorts

I LOVE pairing this sweater with denim shorts (these AGOLDE ones are my absolute favourite - shop them here). Honestly, you could catch me wearing this anytime throughout the summer… but it’s a perfect look for cooler summer days/evenings AND the transitioning months like May and September! I love pairing this with a pair of neutral slides (find the pair I'm wearing here) or my Veja Sneakers. All in all it’s an easy, casual, anytime look.

2. With Leggings + Runners

Just because it’s CUTE doesn’t mean it can’t be COMFY!! I feel like when I’m picking sweaters, I like to make sure they can always be paired back to leggings… because why not!? This sweater is polished enough that you can wear it with a pair of leggings and runners and still look amazing. In my opinion, this is a perfect Saturday/Sunday outfit that can be worn all year round!!

3. With Classic Blue Denim 

This one is another classic look that can be worn during any season. I LOVE pairing this back to classic blue denim (shop mine here), but it also looks great with a lighter wash. This is CLASSIC everyday attire. Depending on the season, I like to finish off the outfit with a cute pair of mules or my favourite booties!!
